Michael Khairallah is a physical security systems specialist and Board Certified PSP. He served in the US Navy as an Electronic Countermeasures Specialist and is a graduate of Louisiana State University with a BS in Business. Michael has been a part of the security profession since 1981, first as a representative of Fairchild Industries then 17 years as President of Card Access Systems. Follow the sale of Card Access Systems in 1998 he became an independent physical security systems consultant. He has authored, or contributed to, numerous articles on physical security and is a Regional Vice President for ASIS International and a member of the International Association of Professional Security Consultants and the FBI Infragard Program.
He is the author of Physical Security Systems Handbook , a guide for the security professional on assessing security needs and acquiring then implementing security systems. His book emphasizes the business methods used to design and implement the systems needed by businesses to mitigate vulnerabilities and reduce loss. The Physical Security Systems Handbook is a practical reference written to assist the security professional in performing a threat analysis and a vulnerability assessment.
The book also explains how to assemble and evaluate bids for security systems using highly competitive bid techniques. The book provides checklists and examples for developing all steps of a Security Audit and implementing the installed systems. This book is an excellent reference for the aspiring security professional who wishes to take on the responsibilities of security system implementation, or the security manager who wants to do a professional job of system acquisition without hiring a professional consultant.
